Anita Bean

Anita is one of the UK’s most respected nutritionists and Power To Be’s very own food guru, both writing our clinic menus and contributing towards our overall philosophy towards food and nutrition for healthy living.


A registered nutritionist with a degree in Nutrition & Food Science has pushed Anita to the top of her field. She is the winner of three major achievement awards in sports nutrition, writes a regular column for Good Housekeeping, plus contributes to many health and fitness magazines as well as broadcasting regularly on TV and radio.


She has written 24 books on nutrition and fitness including The Complete Guide to Sports Nutrition, Sports Nutrition for Young Athletes, Sports Nutrition for Women and Food For Fitness. Many have achieved year-on sales and have been re-published several times.


Anita is a member of the Nutrition Society, the Association for Nutrition and the Guild of Health Writers. A former British bodybuilding champion, she is a strong advocate of an active lifestyle, an avid cook and practitioner of Ashtanga yoga.
